Product review websites are a valuable resource for affiliate marketers and internet entrepreneurs. Whether you’re selling a product, or simply creating discussion and a reputation around one that you’re investing in, review sites play a massive role in making sure your product is represented as it should be in the online marketplace. Rather than letting your audience create discussion around your product, you can guide discussion in a way that benefits both your business and your customers, by providing informational resources and unique product reviews. The power of review websites is well documented, and they’re now widely implemented by internet marketers. Here are three tips to make sure that your review websites are well received, and create the results that you want. These were taken from my much more detailed free article.
1. Always, always, always go the extra mile. The difference between a poorly made review website and a fantastic one is like night and day. 3 reviews and a cheap wordpress theme isn’t enough to make a difference to your product’s sales, and in many cases can affect your product in ways that you couldn’t imagine. One of the most important rules of marketing is to always project a strong product and business. Creating a sub-par review website only achieves the opposite of this — it paints your product as something that doesn’t deserve to have a large amount of time and effort dedicated to it.
A clean and easy to use website isn’t enough. You also need easily understood, well-written content and trust enhancers such as security seals and testimonials from happy customers. Focus on quality of information, not quantity. Once you have presented the facts, perhaps in a table, then you must tell the website visitor how difficult it was rto gather all this information, but you did it for t them and that’s why they can trust your recommendation. Once you have their trust tell them what to do next and make it easy for them to accomplish the task. Each success increases trust and when they trust you, they’ll buy from you.
2. Be creative in your review content. Don’t load it up with a bunch of keywords, don’t repeat what others have said, don’t look like everybody else. Sure it’s easier just to grab a few articles, slap a comparison-table together and put a buy button at the bottom. But that won’t make sales. It will actually turn your visitors off and turn them away. High value, high quality content will make many more sales than a mass produced obvious advertisement.
3. An up-to-date website makes sales; an out-of-date website crushes your reputation. Once you have committed to provide a product review website, you must make sure that the data are reliable and current. The web changes rapidly and new versions of old products are regularly released. If you reviewed a product in an early version and haven’t kept up with changes or reviewed new competing products, your website won’t be your friend, it will be your enemy.
These three tips should set you on the way to maximum affiliate success. If you’re setting up a review website, make sure to follow them, as a review website is designed for maximum exposure and influence. Don’t let your review website let your product down, instead, design it to appeal to your products strengths and benefits.
As you can see, designing a product review website is an incredibly valuable, but not always easy way to increase your sales.
